Casino Stud Poker

Casino Stud Poker is played with a single standard deck of cards. The aim is to back your five card poker hand to beat the hand held by the dealer. After the deal there is no further drawing - all you do is examine your hand and decide whether or not you can be a winner.

Place your ante bet in the box provided within the table limits as displayed. This is the bet you place to buy into the game. The dealer deals five cards, face down, to each player, including himself, turning his last card over for all the players to see. All players then examine their cards.

If you feel your hand is not strong enough to back further, you lay your cards face down on the table. The dealer will then collect them, and remove your ante bet, which is now lost. If you feel your hand is strong enough you can raise your ante bet. When you raise, you must always raise by twice the amount of your ante. Place your raised bet in the box provided, then your cards face down on the table.

When all players have raised or folded, the dealer then turns over the rest of his cards and checks that he holds a qualifying hand, which must be ace + king or higher. If the dealer's hand does not qualify, all remaining ante bets are paid at even money, and raise bets are left untouched. This is done without checking what each player holds, so even lower hands held by players can win.

If the dealer's hand qualifies and your hand beats it, you get paid the bonus odds.
